Alabama vs. Vanderbilt It looked good for Bama early on in this one but by the time the dust had cleared the Crimson Tide was defeated 21-6. Alabama established what looked to be a great offense at the beginning of the game going 80 yards led by Quarterback Albert Elmore on a clock controlling 22 play drive for the first score in the game but the Commodores stormed back to take the 7-6 halftime lead. They would add two more scores in the second to secure the first Bama loss to Vandy since 1951. The 1955 squad finished the season 0-10 for coach J.B. "Ears" Whitworth.
