Alabama vs.LSU

  Date: 10/10/1925
  Score: 42-0
Alabama vs. LSU For the first time of the 1925 season, Alabama would face an opponent on the road when the Tide traveled to Baton Rouge to take on the Tigers, and one newspaper correspondent would call this 42-0 victory over LSU "perfection itself." Alabama would score its first points after Pooley Hubert scored on a short touchdown run in the first to cap off a 70 yard drive, and Hubert would score Bama's second touchdown in the second on a 1 yard plunge. In the third, Bama would put the game out of reach by scoring a trio of touchdowns on a pair of short runs by Herschel Caldwell and another short run by Grant Gillis. Hubert would then score his third touchdown of the afternoon on a short run in the fourth to close the afternoon's scoring. The 1925 squad would finish with a record of 10-0, as Southern Conference Champions, and as national champions after defeating Washington in the Rose Bowl for head coach Wallace Wade.
