  Alabama vs. Vanderbilt Twenty-one third quarter points helped to lead the Alabama Crimson Tide over Vanderbilt by the score of 35-11. Alabama never trailed in the game holding Vandy to no points in the first half. Ranager started off the scoring with a 2 yard run. David Bailey scored next on an 11 yard pass from Neb Hayden to give Bama a 14-0 halftime advantage. In the third quarter Alabama scored three times highlighted by a 93 yard kickoff return by Buddy Seay and a 4 yard quarterback sneak by Hayden. The 1970 squad finished with a record of 6-5-1 along with a tie in the Bluebonnet Bowl for coach Bryant.
