  Alabama vs. Tulane The Crimson Tide Dominated the Green Wave in New Orleans winning by a 37-0 score. It was the Tide's second shutout of the 1992 season. Alabama racked up 573 yards of total offense in this one, 435 of those yards on the ground. Michael Proctor stared off the scoring by hitting on three field goals, one in each of the first three quarters. Derrick Lassic scored the first touchdown of the game on a 5 yard run in the third quarter. Chris Anderson added two touchdowns of his own in the final quarter; the first a 2 yarder and the second a 57 yard scamper. Sandwiched in between was a 4 yard touchdown run by Sherman Williams. The 1992 squad finished with a record of 13-0, as SEC champions, and as national champions for coach Gene Stallings.
