  Alabama vs. Furman The Alabama eleven recorded their third win in four starts as they defeated Furman 34-6 in Tuscaloosa. The Tide's offense was potent gaining 541 total yards with 335 rushing and 206 passing. The game was scoreless after the first quarter Butch Avinger rushed 52 yards for the first touchdown of the game. All American Ed Salem added 2 touchdowns on runs of 10 and 2 yards. Other Tide touchdowns were scored by Jim Burkette on an 11 yard run and Al Leary on a 40 yard pass from Clell Hobson. The 1950 squad would finish the season with a record of 9-2 for Coach Red Drew.
