  Alabama vs. Mississippi State A week after playing Ole Miss to a 0-0 tie, the Tide would return to Tuscaloosa and shutout Mississippi State 18-0 in what would be Alabama's first ever conference win as a member of the SEC. After a scoreless first, Bama would visit the endzone on a Frank Moseley touchdown run. Dixie Howell would visit the endzone in the third on a 7 yard run, and Moseley would score again to close the Tide's scoring on the afternoon. The 1933 squad would finish with a record of 7-1-1 and as the inaugural SEC champions for head coach Frank Thomas.
