  Date: 10/16/1954
  Score: 27-0
Alabama vs. Tennessee In what was at the time the most lopsided victory over rival Tennessee since 1906 the Crimson Tide defeated the hated Vols 27-0 in Knoxville. The star of the game for the Tide was Albert Elmore who had three touchdown passes. He connected with Bobby Luna, Corky Tharp, and Nick Germanos. Elmore also added 107 yard rushing to give him 207 of the Tide's 412 yards of total offense. However the highlight of the game came when Corky Tharp intercepted a Tennessee pass on the Alabama 4 and ran it back 96 yards for the touchdown. The 1954 squad finished the season with a 4-5-2 record in Coach Red Drew's final season as head coach for the Tide.
