  Alabama vs. Tennessee In this contest against the Vols, some last second heroics by both Jay Barker and David Palmer resulted in a 17-17 tie with Tennessee. Going into the fourth quarter, Michael Proctor had provided all of Alabama's scoring with a trio of field goals (22, 47, and 30 yards). Alabama's lone touchdown came late in the fourth after an 81 yard drive with 1:44 to go in the game. Jay Barker would complete 6 of 9 passes and run in the touchdown from one yard out. David Palmer would then run in a 2 point conversion to tie up the game with only :21 remaining in the game. The 1993 squad finished with a record of 9-3-1 and with a victory in the Gator Bowl for coach Gene Stallings; however, as a result of NCAA violations, Alabama was forced to forfeit a number of games giving Bama an official record of 1-12 for the 1993 season.
