Alabama vs. Tennessee The Bama defense held the Vols to just 194 yards of total offense in this one and allowed just 7 total first downs. Alabama racked up 355 yards of total offense and many of those yards came from the legs of Derrick Lassic who had 142 yards rushing. Alabama jumped out to a 17-0 advantage primarily off of two 1-yard touchdown runs by Derrick Lassic in the first half. In between was a Michael Proctor field goal. UT would attempt a comeback but it was not enough to stop the Tide. The 1992 squad finished with a record of 13-0, as SEC champions, and as national champions for coach Gene Stallings.
