Alabama vs. Sewanee For the first time all season the Tide had a tough game on their hands. The first three games were all blowout victories but this one was a bit closer as the Tide sneaked by Sewanee 14-0. Sewanee threatened early advancing to Alabama's 23 yard line but were stopped there. Later in the first quarter it was Dave Rosenfeld striking first on a 56 yard off-tackle run. In the second quarter it was Pooley Hubert taking it across from the 4 yard line to give Bama the 14-0 halftime advantage.
