Alabama vs. South Carolina In Alabama's first trip to Columbia since 1946, they were able to walk out with a 17-6 win over the Gamecocks. For the fifth week in a row, Sherman Williams would rush for over 100 yards with 106 for the game. In addition to his 106 yards on the ground, Williams would score both of Bama's touchdowns (on a 9 yard run in the second and on a 10 yard run in the third). The Tide's only other points came on a 31 yard Michael Proctor field goal in the second. The 1993 squad finished with a record of 9-3-1 and with a victory in the Gator Bowl for coach Gene Stallings; however, as a result of NCAA violations, Alabama was forced to forfeit a number of games giving Bama an official record of 1-12 for the 1993 season.
