  Alabama vs. Sewanee Coming off a 13-0 shutout loss to Georgia Tech on the road in Atlanta, Alabama would return to Birmingham's Rickwood Field and defeat Sewanee by a score of 24-0. Alabama would put the game away early by scoring a trio of first quarter touchdowns. Friar Tuck would return the opening kickoff 85 yards to the house, William Brown would score on a 21 yard scamper, and S.D. Beale would recover a Tiger blocked punt in the endzone for a touchdown in the first. Davis Brasfield would score Bama's final touchdown on a 5 five yard run in the second quarter. The 1927 squad would finish the season with a record of 5-4-1 for head coach Wallace Wade.
