  Alabama vs. Mississippi Jay Barker led the Crimson Tide to a convincing win at home over the Rebels by the score of 31-10. Barker threw for a then career high of 285 yards. The first score of the game came on a 22 yard strike from Barker to David Palmer. Derrick Lassic added a 2 yard touchdown run to put the Tide on top 14-0. On the final play of the first half Michael Proctor added a 28 yard field goal to bring the tide to the dressing room with a 17-7 advantage. After a scoreless third quarter Sherman Williams dove in from the one yard line for a touchdown and late in the fourth quarter Williams again broke into the endzone for his second touchdown of the game. The 1992 squad finished with a record of 13-0, as SEC champions, and as national champions for coach Gene Stallings.
