Alabama vs.Texas

  Date: 10/28/1922
  Score: 10-19
Alabama vs. Texas Alabama's second road game of the season ended much like the first as for some reason the Tide could not sustain much road offense and the Longhorns defeated the Tide 19-10 in Austin. Alabama did score first in the game on a 30 yard Charles Bartlett pass to William Baty. The short drive was set up by a Bartlett interception. Texas tied the game late in the first quarter and took the lead in the second with a touchdown and later added a pair of field goals. L.O. Wesley added a field goal for Alabama in the third quarter but it was too late to catch Texas. The 1922 squad finished the season 6-3-1 for coach Xen Scott in his final season as head coach.
