  Alabama vs. North Texas Despite a highly mediocre first quarter in which the Crimson tide had only 13 yards of total offense Alabama rebounded to defeat the Mean Green by a score of 38-19. Alabama's defense came up big as usual with Cedric Samuel intercepting the ball and bringing it back 15 yards for Alabama's first touchdown of the game. Late in the quarter Michael Proctor kicked a 31 yard field goal to give Alabama the 10-7 lead at the half. Alabama came out strong in the second half scoring two offensive touchdowns. The first a 7 yard run by Ed Scissum and the second a 50 yard pass from Brian Burgdorf to Toderick Malone. Freddie Kitchens checked into the game late and in the fourth quarter connected with Chad Key for a 7 yard touchdown pass. Dennis Riddle would end the Tide's scoring with a 4 yard run. The 1995 squad finished the season with an 8-3 record for coach Gene Stallings.
