  Alabama vs. Mississippi Archie Manning of the Ole Miss Rebels simply dominated the whole Alabama team in this contest scoring 5 touchdowns (3 passing 2 rushing) to lead Mississippi to a 48-23 win. The game was close until the forth quarter when Ole Miss scored 22 points much like Alabama did to Florida the week before. Alabama's first half points were scored off a a 36 yard Richard Ciemny field goal and a 15 yard pass by Neb Hayden (his first of 3 touchdowns on the day) to Jerry Cash. In the second half Hayden added his second two touchdown tosses of the game. The first a 10 yard toss to Johnny Musso and the final score of the game on a 19 yard pass to Stephen Doran. The 1970 squad finished with a record of 6-5-1 along with a tie in the Bluebonnet Bowl for coach Bryant.
