  Alabama vs. South Carolina In what can only be described as total domination the Crimson Tide pounded the Gamecocks by a score of 48-7. Bama scored the first 41 points of the game and didn't give up any points until the final 3 minutes. Derrick Lassic started the scoring in the first with a one-yard touchdown run. Sherman Williams added a 14 yard score later in the quarter and Chris Anderson finished off the first with a 6 yard run of his own. Alabama came out flying again in the second with a 25 yard pass from Jay Barker to Curtis Brown followed by a five yard run by Chris Harris. Michael Proctor would also add a field goal to give the Tide 38-0 halftime advantage. Alabama was not done however. Hamp Greene added a field goal in the third quarter and in the fourth quarter Chris Anderson had his own 37 yard run. The 1992 squad finished with a record of 13-0, as SEC champions, and as national champions for coach Gene Stallings.
