  Alabama vs. Kentucky The 1937 homecoming game featured Alabama and Kentucky and the Bama players did not dissapoint the home crowd as they defeated the Wildcats 41-0. 13,000 fans witnessed the action. Charlie Holm, Eugene Blackwell, Joe Kilgrow, Johnny Roberts, William Slemmons, and W.L. Waites all scored one touchdown in the game. Alabama's punting was spectacular in the game with a 49 yard average. The 1937 squad finished the season 9-1 as SEC Champions and with a loss in the Rose Bowl for Coach Frank Thomas.
