  Alabama vs. Kentucky Homecoming in Lexington Kentucky took place on Halloween afternoon and Alabama spoiled the Wildcat celebration by defeating KU 14-0. The first half was scoreless mainly due to Kentucky's defense who stopped the Tide on both the 4 and 1 yard lines. In the third quarter Joe Riley finally broke the tie scoring on a 27 yard run around end. In the fourth quarter a series of punts and interceptions gave Alabama the ball on the Cat 19 where it was Riley again running it in for the second score of the game. The 1936 squad finished the season 8-0-1 for Coach Frank Thomas.
