  Alabama vs. South Carolina For the third consecutive weekend the Tide shut out its opponent with the South Carolina Gamecocks paying the price this weekend losing by the score of 20-0. The Tide won despite very poor weather conditions and extremely poor tackling abilities. In the first quarter Joe Kilrow scored the first touchdown on a 6 yard run. In the second Kilrow hooked up with Silas Beard for a 41 yard touchdown pass. The last score of the game came in the third quarter when Hal Hughes scored on a 1 yard no shift play. The 1937 squad finished the season 9-1 as SEC Champions and with a loss in the Rose Bowl for Coach Frank Thomas.
