  Alabama vs. Tulsa For the second year in a row, the Tide was too much for the Hurricanes to handle, as Alabama was victorious in Tuscaloosa 40-0. After a slow start, Bama's Hootie Ingram threw a 21 yard touchdown pass to Billy Hollis. Ollie Yates exploded for two touchdown passes of his own for the Tide's next two scores. The first touchdown went to Curtis Lynch and the second to Bill Lumpkin. Piggy Watford scored Alabama's only rushing touchdown just before the end of the first half. In the second half, Albert Elmore would throw two touchdown passes to give the Tide a 40-0 win. The highlight of the game was an 87 yard pass from Elmore to Bobby Luna. The 1954 squad finished the season with a 4-5-2 record in Coach Red Drew's final season as head coach for the Tide.
