  Alabama vs. Kentucky Alabama's 1941 homecoming celebration was another classic game to finish a great week as Alabama defeated the Kentucky Wildcats 30-0. Bama scored 1 touchdown in each of the first 3 quarters and 2 more in the final period. Jimmy Nelson scored in the first quarter on a 20 yard run. In the second quarter Russ Mosley passed to George Weeks for a 22 yard touchdown. In the third quarter it was Nelson to Holt Rast for a 25 yard score. The final quarter saw Carl Mims finally get himself into the endzone for a 25 yard touchdown and Mackey McCoy run for an impressive 65 yards. The 1941 squad finished the season 9-2 as National Champions after a victory in the Cotton Bowl for Coach Thomas.
