  Alabama vs. Clemson On Homecoming in Tuscaloosa, the Tide dominated Clemson in out gaining the Tigers 413-69 in total offensive yardage in this 40-0 shutout. Dixie Howell would open Bama's scoring in the first with his touchdown pass to Don Hutson from inside the ten yard line. Riley Smith would next visit the end zone on a 1 yard quarterback sneak in the second. The Tide's third score came on a second Howell to Hutson connection (26 yards). In the fourth, Bama would score a trio of touchdowns to put the exclamation point on a well-played game. These touchdowns were scored by Young Boozer, Howell, and on a 75 yard punt return by Joe Riley. The 1934 squad would finish the season with a record of 10-0, as SEC champions, and as national champions after defeating Stanford in the Rose Bowl for head coach Frank Thomas.
