  Alabama vs. Mississippi State A week after losing to LSU, Alabama rebounded with a 36-25 victory over the Bulldogs. Michael Proctor would get Bama on the board in the first with his 44 yard field goal. In the second, the Tide would score on a 20 yard touchdown pass from Jay Barker to David Palmer, on a 42 yard Proctor field goal, and on a 7 yard Tarrant Lynch touchdown run. In the third, Lemanski Hall would return a blocked field goal 60 yards for a touchdown. The Tide would close its scoring in the fourth with a 30 yard Proctor field goal and a 7 yard Lynch touchdown run. For the game, Palmer had 171 yards recieving with one touchdown. The 1993 squad finished with a record of 9-3-1 and with a victory in the Gator Bowl for coach Gene Stallings; however, as a result of NCAA violations, Alabama was forced to forfeit a number of games giving Bama an official record of 1-12 for the 1993 season.
