  Alabama vs. Mississippi State In what was called the "Biggest game ever played at Scott Field" the Crimson Tide and the Mississippi State Bulldogs played a very even game with Alabama coming out on top 30-21. Alabama had 304 yards of total offense while State had 301. Bama started off the scoring with a 23 yard pass by Jay Barker to Derrick Lassic and Antonio Langham picked up a blocked punt and ran it back 24 yards. Michael Proctor added two field goals in the second quarter to give Alabama a 20-3 halftime lead. Mississippi State would storm back in the third quarter however scoring twice (one included a two-point conversion) and adding in a field goal giving MSU a 21-20 lead going into the final quarter. Michael Proctor would put the tide on top for good however on a 26 yard field goal and for good measure Alabama's Chris Anderson added a 1 yard touchdown run. The 1992 squad finished with a record of 13-0, as SEC champions, and as national champions for coach Gene Stallings.
