Alabama vs.Georgia Tech

  Date: 11/17/1962
  Score: 6-7
Alabama vs. Georgia Tech The Crimson Tide rolled into Atlanta Georgia smelling another undefeated season and National Championship however the Yellow Jackets had something else to say about it and they stunned the Tide 7-6 breaking a streak of 26 straight games without a defeat. Defense was the story of the game for both teams and Alabama was hurt badly by 4 interceptions and great punting by the Yellow Jackets. Alabama was held scoreless until midway through the fourth quarter when Cotton Clark on fourth down ran it in from 2 yard out. Bama tried a two points conversion but it was stopped. Late in the game Alabama was driving and looked as it they would score but a Tech interception on the 14 yard line stopped any chances of that happening. The 1962 squad finished with a record of 10-1, and with a victory in the Orange Bowl for Coach Bryant.
