Alabama vs.Miami

  Date: 11/19/1954
  Score: 7-23
Alabama vs. Miami Miami helped Alabama make history in this contest but it was not the kind of history Tide fans would have liked. This game marked the first time the Hurricanes had beaten the Tide and it also tied a Crimson Tide record of 16 consectutive quarters without a touchdown. All of this meant a 23-7 Hurricane win. The only Alabama touchdown came on a 1 yard Bart Starr quarterback sneak. The 1954 squad finished the season with a 4-5-2 record in Coach Red Drew's final season as head coach for the Tide.
