Alabama vs.Memphis State
The Tigers of Memphis State gave the Tide all they could handle in this 14-7 Alabama victory. After being down 0-7 at the half, Bobby Skeleton hit Billy Richardson for a 3 yard, third quarter touchdown, and with a successful 2 point conversion, Bama took the lead 8-7. Bama's second score came on a 15 yard Mal Moore pass to Bill Rice later in the half. The 1959 squad finished with a 7-2-2 record and with an appearence in the Liberty Bowl for Coach Bryant.
