  Alabama vs. Vanderbilt For the second time in this 1941 season the Crimson Tide was shutout, this time it was on the road in Nashville against Vanderbilt where Vandy defeated the Tide 7-0. Alabama had just 76 yards of total offense in the game. Alabama never seriously threatened in the game and the offense was sloppy on both sides as there were 10 total fumbles. The 1941 squad finished the season 9-2 as national champions after a victory in the Cotton Bowl for Coach Thomas.
