  Alabama vs. Georgia Alabama would close the 1926 regular season by defeating the Bulldogs of Georgia 33-6 to end the regular season with a record of 9-0 and to secure a spot in their second consecutive Rose Bowl. In the first quarter, Bama would score a pair of touchdowns short runs by Hoyt "Wu" Winslett and Emile Branes. After being held scoreless in the second Bama would score on a short pass from Winslett to Archie Taylor. Bama would then close the afternoon by scoring on a 42 yard touchdown run by Taylor, a safety, and on a 20 yard Jimmy Johnson interception return for a touchdown. The 1926 squad finished the season with a 9-0-1 record, as southern conference champions, and as repeat national champions for coach Wallace Wade.
