  Alabama vs. Florida On a frigid afternoon in Jacksonville, Florida, the Crimson Tide defeated the up and coming Florida Gators 41-13. Ed Salem was the story for the Tide who scored 4 touchdowns (1 by air 3 by ground) and went 4-7 passing. The scoring opened when Salem ran off tackle for a 7 yard touchdown and Bobby Marlow scored his sixth of the season (and fifth in two games) on a 3 yard run to give the Tide the margin by which they would win. Other Tide scores came off of Salem runs of 5 and 8 yards, and a pass to Al Lary for 63 yards, and a 1 yard QB sneak by Butch Avinger. The 1950 squad would finish the season with a record of 9-2 for Coach Red Drew.
