  Alabama vs. Georgia Coming off of its only loss of the 1924 season the Crimson Tide faced off against the Georgia Bulldogs in Birmingham and with this 33-0 victory the Tide won the Southern Conference Championship, the first in team history. The first quarter saw some good defenses from both teams with Alabama only scoring on two long Ben Compton field goals. From then on however Alabama turned on the heat. The first Touchdown came off of a Pooley Hubert pass to Hershel Caldwell for 15 yards for the only touchdown of the first half. After a scoreless third Ben Hudson took a Hubert pass over the endzone for a score and Mack Brown later took an interception at his own 35 yard line and ran it all the way back for the score. Hubert scored the final touchdown himself on a 3 yard line plunge. Compton finished off his Alabama career in style connecting on 2 field goals and 3 of 4 extra point attempts. With the victory the 1924 squad finished the season 8-1 and as Southern Conference champions.
