  Alabama vs. Auburn Coming off a 0-7 loss to Notre Dame, the Tide responded by defeating the hated Tigers by a score of 34-18. In the first, Walter Lewis would score on a 1 yard plunge. In the second, Major Ogilvie would score on a 1 yard plunge, and this was followed with a 45 yard Earl Collins touchdown run. In the fourth, the Tide would score on a 7 yard Donald Jacobs pass to Bart Krout, and this was followed by a 14 yard Billy Jackson touchdown run. The 1980 squad finished the season with a record of 10-2 and with a victory in the Cotton Bowl for Coach Bryant.
