  Alabama vs. Kentucky A week after a tough loss to Fordham in New York City, the Tide would return to Legion Field and defeat the Wildcats of Kentucky 20-0. After being held scoreless in the first, Dixie Howell would visit the endzone on a 55 yard scamper in the second, and then he would score again from 11 yards out in the third. Joe Demyanovich would score Bama's final touchdown on a short run in the fourth. The 1933 squad would finish with a record of 7-1-1 and as the inaugural SEC champions for head coach Frank Thomas.
