  Alabama vs. LSU For the first time in 31 years, the Tigers of LSU were able to defeat the Tide in Baton Rouge. The 30-28 triumph over Bama also secured the Tide their second losing season since 1984. After a scoreless first, Andrew Zow would hit Antonio Carter for a 9 yard touchdown reception. Ahmaad Galloway would visit the end zone with his 55 yard touchdown run in the third. In the fourth, Bama would score a pair of touchdowns, and they came on a 1 yard Dustin McClintock run and on a 13 yard Zow pass to Freddie Milons. The 2000 squad would finish the season with a record of 3-8 in Mike Dubose's final season as head coach of the Tide.
