  Alabama vs. Kentucky After playing a sluggish first half, Alabama would score 21 second half points in defeating the Wildcats in what was the final Alabama game ever played in Birmingham's Rickwood Field. After a scoreless first half, Bama would score a pair of third quarter touchdowns on an Archie Taylor pass to James Skidmore and on a Tony Holm touchdown run. Holm would then score the Tide's final points on a short touchdown run in the fourth. The 1927 squad would finish the season with a record of 5-4-1 for head coach Wallace Wade.
