  Alabama vs. Furman Alabama dominated Furman in every aspect of the game and won 51-0. The 51 points scored was the most that the Tide had scored since the 61-6 victory over Syracuse in the 1953 Orange Bowl. Bobby Skelton connected with Butch Wilson in the first for an 8 yard touchdown which started the rout. Skelton added his second touchdown by hitting Richard O'Dell on a 3 yard pass. Pat Trammell also tacked on a touchdown in the first half on a 1 yard run. Cotton Clark added the 4th touchdown of the afternoon with a 1 yard plunge into the endzone. The final quarter was met with big plays for touchdowns by the Tide who scored on a 62 yard Walt Cureton run, a 52 yard pass from Laurlen Stapp to Jerry Spruiell, and the final score a 5 yard run by Stapp. The 1960 squad finished with a record of 8-1-2 for Coach Bryant and with an appearance in the Bluebonnet Bowl.
