  Alabama vs. LSU In this game, the Tide was able to defeat a very solid Tiger team by the score of 22-10 on the road in Baton Rouge. The only points that Bama could manage in the first half came on a pair of Philip Doyle field goals in the first (45 and 29 yards). In the third the Tide would finally visit the end zone on a 1 yard Bo Wright touchdown run. In the fourth, Doyle would hit a 32 yard field goal and Bobby Humphrey would score a touchdown on a 10 yard run. For the game, Humphrey would rush for 177 yards and a touchdown. The 1987 squad finished with a record of 7-5 and with an appearence in the Hall of Fame Bowl in Coach Bill Curry's first season at Alabama.
