  Alabama vs. Vanderbilt Alabama and Vandy met for the fourth time in their history on this day and for the fourth consecutive time the Commodores defeated the Tide, this time by the score of 16-12. Alabama gave up some key fumbles in the game including a costly one inside the Vandy 10 yard line in the first quarter of a scoreless game. Vanderbilt got on the board first but soon after, Riggs Stephenson tied the game at 6 with an end run. Alabama took the lead on the first play of the fourth quarter when Stephenson scored on a five-yard line plunge. Vandy added a touchdown and a field goal late in the fourth quarter to seal the victory. The 1919 squad finished the season 8-1 for coach Xen Scott in his first years at Alabama.
