  Alabama vs. Florida Alabama's 1930 Championship run took them through Gainesville Florida and as all the other opponents did the Gators fell to the Tide by the score of 20-0. For the second weekend in a row Alabama had spoiled another schools homecoming festivities. Bama started its second string in this game, which was the main reason for a scoreless first quarter. In the second however J.R. Campbell finished off a 54 yard drive with a 21 yard touchdown run. In the fourth quarter Alabama scored two touchdowns. The first a 1 yard Campbell run and the second John Tucker scored on a 20 yard run. The 1930 squad finished the season 10-0 as Southern Conference champions and as National champions for coach Wallace Wade in his final season at Alabama.
