  Alabama vs. LSU The Tigers proved to be to much for the Tide to handle resulting in a 15-20 defeat. The Tigers were able to hold the Tide scoreless until the fourth quarter. In the fourth, Scott Hunter would throw for a pair of touchdowns, but they proved to be to little to late. Bama's first touchdown came on a 37 yard pass from Hunter to Hunter Husband, and the second came on a 34 yard Hunter pass to David Bailey. The 1969 squad would finish the season with a record of 6-5 along with an appearence in the Liberty Bowl for Coach Bryant.
