  Alabama vs. LSU Coming off a loss for the first time in nearly three years, Bama responded by defeating the Tigers by a score of 28-7. In the first, Ken Coley scored on a 35 yard run. In the second, Major Ogilvie scored on a 2 yard run. Bama ended their scoring for the afternoon with a pair of fourth quater touchdowns. Ogilvie followed by Joe Carter would score on a pair of 3 yard runs. The 1980 squad finished the season with a record of 10-2 and with a victory in the Cotton Bowl for Coach Bryant.
