  Alabama vs. Kentucky A week after a 13-0 loss at Vanderbilt, Alabama would defeat the Kentucky Wildcats by a score of 24-13 in Montgomery's Cramton Bowl. Both teams would put a pair of touchdowns on the board in the first with John Suther and Bernard Holm making the trips to the endzone for the Tide. However, Bama would miss both points after attempts, and as a result would trail the Wildcats by a score of 13-12 going into the fourth quarter. In the fourth, the Tide would score a pair of touchdowns to secure the Alabama win. Bernard Holm was simply unstoppable in the fourth as he scored both of the Tide's touchdowns in the period. The 1929 squad would finish with a record of 6-3 for head coach Wallace Wade.
