  Score: 28-14
Alabama vs. Mississippi State A struggling Bulldog squad would give the Tide all they could handle in this 28-14 Alabama victory. In the first, Tyler Watts would throw a pair of touchdown passes to Triandos Luke (15 yards) and to Ray Hudson (32 yards). In the second, Shaud Williams would score from 4 yards out, but State was able to bring the game to 21-14 at the half. Bama's final points came in the third on a gutsy fourth and long call that resulted in a 36 yard Watts touchdown pass to Luke to put the game out of the Bulldogs reach. For the second week in a row, Luke would have over 100 yards receiving with his 128 yard performance. The 2002 squad would finish the season with a record of 10-3 for coach Dennis Franchione in his final season at the Capstone.
