  Alabama vs. Auburn These two hated rivals mixed it up in Birmingham for the third straight year but this time Bama would not be denied victory as they shutout the Tigers 34-0. Alabama scored early in the first on a 26 yard Ed Salem touchdown pass to Bobby Marlow. Marlow would also score Bama's next two touchdowns on runs of 2 and 8 yards. Larry Chiodetti scored Bama's fourth touchdown on a 31 yard run after an interception by Wilson. Jim Burkette would score the Tide's fifth and final touchdown on a 3 yard run to complete the blow-out and bring the ODK trophy back to Tuscaloosa. For his exceptional season Ed Salem was awarded All America honors and Al Lary, Mike Mizerany and Pat O'Sullivan all earned All-SEC selections. The 1950 squad would finish the season with a record of 9-2 for Coach Red Drew.
