  Alabama vs. LSU For the second week in a row, Alabama was able to shutout their opponent, and this time it was the Tigers of LSU that fell victim by a score of 13-0 in Legion Field to close the 1928 season. J.R. Campbell would score Bama's first points on an 8 yard touchdown run in the first, and Tony Holm would score Bama's other touchdown on a 1 yard run in the third. As a side note to the game, LSU's head coach Russ Cohen was a former Alabama player. The 1928 squad would finish the season with a record of 6-3 for head coach Wallace Wade.
