  Alabama vs. Clemson A week after a stunning 20-7 loss to Missouri to open the season, Alabama rebounded with a 56-0 shutout of the Clemson Tigers. Bama's first points came on a blocked punt that was recovered for a safety by John Mark Prudhomme. The Tide would then score a pair of first quarter touchdowns on runs of 3 and 16 yards by Mike Stock and Calvin Culliver. In the second quarter, Bama would score a trio of touchdowns on runs of 2, 18, and 1 yard by John Boles, Johnny Lee Davis, and Willie Shelby. Shelby would visit the end zone again on a 15 yard run in the third. To close the game, Bama would score a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns on runs of 5 and 3 yards by Boles and Rick Watson. For the game, Alabama would rush for 437 yards against the Tiger defense. The 1975 squad finished the season with a record of 11-1, as SEC champions, and with a victory in the Sugar Bowl for Coach Bryant.
