  Alabama vs. Florida State Bama opened up the 1967 season by only managing a tie against a pesky Seminole squad. After going down 14-0 midway through the first, the Tide would storm back by scoring a pair of touchdowns on a 2 yard Kenny Stabler run and on a 51 yard Stabler pass to Dennis Homan to take a 15-14 lead. In the second, Ed Morgan would visit the end zone on an 11 yard touchdown run. After a scoreless third, the Tide would score 15 fourth quarter points to secure a tie on a 17 yard Stabler touchdown pass to Homan and on a 3 yard Morgan touchdown run. The 1967 squad would finish the season with a record of 8-2-1 and with an appearance in the Cotton Bowl Coach Bryant.
