Alabama vs.Louisiana Tech

  Date: 9/25/1993
  Score: 56-3
Alabama vs. Louisiana Tech Once again, Alabama's defense was extremely stingy in only allowing 131 yards of total offense against an out-manned Tech squad in this 56-3 Alabama victory. Sherman Williams would score both of the Tide's first quarter touchdowns on runs of 1 and 3 yards. Chris Donnelly would open Bama's second quarter scoring with his 72 yard interception return for a touchdown. David Palmer would then score a pair of touchdowns on a pair of Brian Burgdorf passes (15 and 44 yards). In the third, Bama would score a pair of touchdowns. The first came on a 13 yard Brian Steger run, and the second came on a 45 yard pass play from Freddie Kitchens to Toderick Malone. Williams would visit the end zone for a third time with his 2 yard touchdown run in the fourth. For the fourth week in a row, Williams would rush for over 100 yards with his 104 yard performance in this contest. The 1993 squad finished with a record of 9-3-1 and with a victory in the Gator Bowl for coach Gene Stallings; however, as a result of NCAA violations, Alabama was forced to forfeit a number of games giving Bama an official record of 1-12 for the 1993 season.
