  Alabama vs. Arkansas After a tough loss to Louisiana Tech, Alabama needed to come up with a win to stay alive in the hunt for the SEC West title, and the Tide did just that defeating the Razorbacks 35-28. After an Arkansas touchdown, Andrew Zow connected with Freddie Milons for a 35 yard score. In the second, Zow connected with Antonio Carter for a 16 yard touchdown pass. Arkansas would add a field goal in the quarter and Alabama would take a one point lead at the half. In the third, Alabama took to the ground scoring two rushing touchdowns. The first was a one yard rush by Dustin McClintock and the second a 12 yard rush by Shaun Alexander. In the final quarter, Freddie Milons connected with Jason McAddley on a 66 yard trick pass play to give Alabama a 35-21 lead. Arkansas would try to mount a comeback but it was not enough. The 1999 squad finished the season with a 10-3 record, as SEC champions, and with an appearance in the Orange Bowl for coach Mike Dubose.
